Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career in the her twenties. Her character in the role of Anil Kapoor in Tezaab has made her incredibly popular. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir on Dil. As a young teenager in the middle class of Mumbai, she began to learn how to dance. Early in her life, when she started to perform as an actress, most films that she made were not successful. She eventually became one of the top actresses from Indian films. The actress took a hiatus from her career due to her marriage, before going back to the industry of entertainment. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, India's fourth highest civil honor. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
